SiteSucker Pro Features

SiteSucker Pro is an enhanced version of SiteSucker that can download videos, including embedded YouTube, Vimeo, WordPress, and Wistia videos. The Preferred Resolution option in the Video settings can be used to specify the preferred resolution of downloaded videos. In addition, the File Type settings in SiteSucker Pro provide an easy way to filter video media types.

SiteSucker Pro can also download sites from the Tor network. See Downloading from the Tor network below for more information.

Registration

You can try SiteSucker Pro for up to 14 days before you buy it. During that period, the application is fully functional except that you can download no more than 100 files at a time. To open the Registration window, which lets you enter or view SiteSucker Pro license information, choose Registration in the SiteSucker Pro menu.

Registration

To purchase a license for SiteSucker Pro, click the Purchase button in the Registration window. After making your purchase, you will be sent an email with a license key. Enter your email address and the license key in the window and click the Register button to register your copy of SiteSucker Pro.

Updating SiteSucker Pro

After you have registered your copy of SiteSucker Pro, the application automatically checks for updates whenever it is launched. While the application is running, you can check for updates by choosing Check for Updates in the SiteSucker Pro menu.

Update

If an update is available, you will be asked to mount the latest SiteSucker Pro disk image. Click the Mount Disk Image button to download and mount the disk image. After the disk image is opened, quit SiteSucker Pro and drag the SiteSucker Pro icon in the disk image window to the Applications folder to install the new version of SiteSucker Pro.

Downloading from the Tor network

SiteSucker Pro can download sites from the Tor network. However, because the web views provided by Apple have limited configuration options, SiteSucker Pro’s built-in browser and hidden web views cannot access the Tor network.

Before SiteSucker Pro can access the Tor network, Tor must be set up on your computer. Running Tor on Mac provides detailed instructions for installing and running Tor on your Mac.

Once Tor is running on your computer, SiteSucker Pro should be able to download files from any valid “.onion” address.
