Automating Downloads
If you repeatedly download the same sites, you can use AppleScript with SiteSucker to automate many of these tasks. To learn what you can automate with AppleScript, look at the SiteSucker scripting dictionary.
To open the SiteSucker scripting dictionary:
- Open the Script Editor application, located in /Applications/Utilities.
- Choose File → Open Dictionary.
- Select SiteSucker and click Choose.
In addition, a folder of sample scripts can be downloaded from the SiteSucker website. These scripts demonstrate how SiteSucker can be controlled using AppleScript. Feel free to tailor them to meet your needs.
For more information on using AppleScript to automate tasks, visit the AppleScript website.
SiteSucker also includes the Download Sites action. This is an Automator action that downloads websites using SiteSucker. You can include the Download Sites action in a workflow or a service, or use it in a calendar alarm to schedule periodic site downloads.
