Menus

The menus in SiteSucker contain commands and options that allow you to control the application. Many of these features can also be accessed using the toolbar. SiteSucker provides the following menus:

SiteSucker

The SiteSucker menu (or application menu) has commands for performing common tasks such as setting application preferences and quitting. The SiteSucker menu provides the following menu items:

Menu Item Description
Displays information about the SiteSucker application.
Opens the Preferences window, which lets you customize the SiteSucker application.
Lets you install a bookmarklet into the bookmarks bar of your favorite Web browser. When you click the bookmarklet, the URL of the current page is sent to SiteSucker.
Checks the SiteSucker Web site to see if a newer version of SiteSucker is available. If a newer version is available, this menu item lets you mount the latest SiteSucker disk image so that you can update your software.
A standard submenu which provides a means for transferring selected data from one application to another for processing.
Standard application menu items that show or hide applications.
Terminates the SiteSucker application.

File

You can use the File menu to create, open and save SiteSucker documents, open the Download Folder, and perform other tasks. This menu provides the following menu items:

Menu Item Description
Opens a new untitled SiteSucker document. The document is created with the number of connections specified in the preferences.
Displays a dialog for choosing an existing SiteSucker document to open.
Allows you to open recently opened documents without using the Open dialog. The Open Recent submenu displays documents in the order in which they were opened, with the most recent item at the top.
Closes the active window. If the option key is down, all windows are closed.
Saves the active document.
Displays a dialog which allows you to save a copy of the active document with a new name, a new location, or both.
Opens the local file that corresponds to the address shown in the Web URL text field. This is equivalent to double-clicking the file in the Finder. You can use this feature to quickly view your downloaded site in a Web browser.
If the option key is down, SiteSucker will let you choose an application with which to open the file.
Opens the SiteSucker log file, which is normally stored in the Download Folder. This file is only created if one of the log options is set in the download settings. Each SiteSucker document has its own log file. If the SiteSucker log isn't found, this menu item is dimmed.
If the option key is down, SiteSucker will let you choose an application with which to open the file.
Opens the Download Folder in the Finder. This allows you quick access to your downloaded files.
If the option key is down, SiteSucker will open the folder at ~/Library/Application Support/SiteSucker for easy access to the UserAgent.plist and settings files.

Settings

The Settings menu lists all the settings files that are in your home folder at ~/Library/Application Support/SiteSucker/Settings. (You can use the Save Settings... menu item to save a settings file to this directory.) Select a file's name in the menu to assign its settings to the active document.
