Bank Check Printer is a Macintosh application that prints your bank checks. It is designed to work with standard sheet-fed three-to-a-page business-sized checks. The bank checks that you use should be pre-printed with your name, address, routing number, and checking account number.
Simply enter the date, the amount, and the name of the recipient (i.e., the payee), then click the Print button to print your check. You can also include an address on the check or a note in the memo section.
The Bank Check Printer window initially shows the fields for a single check. To print additional checks, toggle the disclosure triangle to reveal fields for a second or third check.
The following keyboard shortcuts can be used when the date text box is selected:
- Current Date: T
- Add a Day: + or =
- Subtract a Day: -
To adjust the positioning of printed fields on checks, choose Preferences under the Bank Check Printer menu.
To display an autocompletion pop up menu for the payee and address fields, check the Enable payee and address autocompletion box in the Preferences. Then, when you start to enter a name in one of these fields, the autocompletion menu will display names from your Contacts that match what you are typing. If you select a name in the menu, that name (or name and associated address) will be entered in the field.
